Boys Tennsi State Tourney - SUMMARY

Bedford boys varsity tennis traveled to Grand Rapids for possibly the rainiest state tennis tournament ever held. Lots of delays, schedule and site changes to deal with as well as playing very late into the night.
Team played extremely well overall for a very respectable showing. Jaxon Nejedlik at 1s played extremely well and won his first match 6-0,6-0 before falling to the 4 seed 6-4,6-1.
Carter Ryan at 4s played some of his best tennis of the year winning his first match 6-3,6-4 and then contending with huge delays and last minute change of site won his second match also by 6-3,6-4 ending at 11:15pm.
On the second day Carter faced the 2 seed who was state runner up and lost 6-2,6-0. Bedford was very well represented at the state meet by a great group of boys that conducted themselves with great sportsmanship all season to make the school and community very proud.
Can’t wait to see what this team can accomplish in the future. Great season for the team!
