Congratulations
to three of our players from the 07-08 team who are continuing their basketball
careers in college. Guard, Tiara Fernandez joined the Hawaii Pacific University
basketball team this fall. Post players Jennifer Redmond and Heather Goodwin are
both suiting up for Madonna University this winter. They join former Mule great
Tara Breske (Bowling Green State University) as current college players that recently
wore our scarlet and grey.
Record
Breakers – At the end of last season amid our quest for our second straight
league title and our attempt at a tournament run, both Amelia Davis (junior) and
Chelsey Labadie (senior) broke the career three point record at the school. The
record was previously held by Ali Davis. The two remained tied at the end of the
season. Awesome job!
Open
Gyms – Girls that intend to try out for the basketball team this November
are welcome to attend open gyms on Mondays from 2:45 until 4:45 and on Wednesdays
from 6:00 until 8:00 in the high school gymnasium.
Conditioning
– Conditioning will be held Monday through Friday beginning October 20th.
The workouts will last approximately 2 hours. Specific times will be coming soon.

Notes: Welcome
– A new group of junior high coaches have been hired this year. We are excited
to have Dave DeGrace, Jim Vergiels, Terry Potter and Randy Krupp on staff for
the 08-09 campaign. A special thanks to Mike Dager for his 19 years of service
and commitment to the basketball program.
Adding
Teams – There will be a red and grey team this year. The eighth grade
and seventh grade teams will be split in half this year. Each team will carry
between 10 and 12 players. Meaning that instead of 15 roster spots being open
(like in previous years), we now have between 20 and 24 spots open.
