heading east back over the expressway. Stay in left lane, at light veer left onto
Alexis Road. Continue east on Alexis Road 5-1/2 miles. Rink on north (left) side
of Alexis Rd. across the street from GM Powertrain plant.

11-28-07 Bedford 4 Saline 5 (OT) The
Mules opened their 2007-08 regular season with a hard fought loss against the
Saline Hornets. The lead in this game would seesaw back and forth. Captain Andy
Backus scored a short handed goal for the Mules at 12:56 of the first period.
Garryt Kujawa and Jesse Bachli got assists on Andy's goal. Both teams received
four penalties each in the first period.
Bedford's lead held until 10:55
in the second period when Saline scored a power play goal to tie it up. Jesse
Bachli put Bedford ahead again at 5:54 of the second with assists to the Kujawa
brothers, Garryt and Jared. Saline again tied the score just two minutes later
on yet another power play. The Hornets were called for five penalties in the period
while the Mules got caught for two penalties.
Brendon Sokoloski scored
Bedford's third goal at 13:27 of the third period. Andy Backus and Jesse Bachli
earned the assists. But less than thirty seconds later Saline scored to make it
3-3. Then at 2:03 remaining in the game Saline scored to take the lead for the
first time.
With just eleven seconds remaining in regulation Jesse Bachli
scored on assists from Garryt Kujawa and Drew Bachli forcing the game into overtime.
Both teams had two penalties each in the third period.
In overtime the
Hornets scored at 5:50 on a power play goal to end the game. Although it is hard
to lose a game this intense the team should be proud of how well they all played.

10 Clay 0 The home opener for the Mules was an extremely lopsided
game. Senior Luke Fournier earned the shutout facing only five shots for the evening.
The Eagles had double the penalties with eight while Bedford had four penalties.
Justin Snyder opened the scoring with a power play goal at 3:38 into the first
period. Steven Brown and Jesse Bachli got the assists. At 12:22 left in the period
freshman Jared Kujawa scored the first of three goals unassisted. Both teams were
called for two penalties each. Clay had only two shots on goal while the Mules
had thirteen shots.
Jesse Bachli scored at 5:12 of the second with an
assist going to Garryt Kujawa. Jared Kujawa scored his second goal of the night
at 6:19, again while Bedford was on the power play. Assists on Jared's goal went
to Justin Snyder and Drew Bachli. Garryt Kujawa scored his own power play goal
two minutes later to put the Mules up by five goals. Assists on this goal were
to Jared Kujawa and Andy Backus. Justin Snyder ended the scoring in the second
period at 14:45 gone in the second. Andy Backus got the assist. Bedford had only
two penalties in the second period while the Eagles were caught for six penalties.
Luke Fournier faced just three shots while the Eagles' goalie stopped twenty two
of twenty six.
Just 1:47 into the third period Captain Andy Backus scored
off an assist from Jared Kujawa while the Mules were on a power play. Two minutes
later Jesse Bachli scored his second of the night with assists to Justin Snyder
and Garryt Kujawa. Just twenty four seconds later Drew Bachli scored off an assist
from Jared Kujawa. And, less than thirty seconds later, Jared Kujawa got his third
goal putting the Mules up 10-0 over the Eagles. The Mules had no shots on goal
for the third period and Bedford had nine shots on goal. No penalties were called
for either team.

3 AA Pioneer 2 WE BEAT ANN ARBOR PIONEER!!!!! That is pretty much
all that is needed to be said. Bedford notched their first SEC victory against
perennial powerhouse Ann Arbor.
Andy Backus opened the scoring just two
minutes into the game on an assist from Jesse Bachli. Ann Arbor tied the game
with just seven seconds remaining in the first period. Bedford had just five shots
on goal and Ann Arbor got off sixteen shots. The Mules were called for two penalties
and the Pioneers had one penalty.
Garryt Kujawa scored Bedford's second
goal at 9:05 into the second period. Jared Kujawa and Jesse Bachli each earned
the assists. However, Pioneer scored just over a minute later to tie the game
a second time. Shots on goal were closer with Bedford at six and Pioneer at eight
shots on goal. The Mules had two penalties for the period and Ann Arbor had just
one penalty.
At 8:52 into the third period Nick Hintz scored what would
be the game winning goal off assists to Garryt Kujawa and Jesse Bachli. The Mules
had nine shots on goal for a total of twenty shots for the game. Pioneers had
just four shots in the period for a total of twenty eight in the game. Bedford
was called for just one penalty in the third and Ann Arbor had three penalties.

5 AA Huron 2 The Mules traveled to the Ann Arbor Ice Cube to get
their second SEC win of the season beating Ann Arbor Huron by a final score of
five to three. Huron scored first on a short handed goal at 11:53 on the clock.
Garryt Kujawa scored his first of three goals on the evening to tie it up at 7:57.
Jared Kujawa earned the assist on the goal. Bedford had ten shots on goal and
Huron had eleven. Each team received one penalty.
Garryt Kujawa scored
less than thirty seconds into the second period to put Bedford ahead. Andy Backus
and Nick Hintz got assists on the goal. Just thirty seconds later Jesse Bachli
scored off assists from Andy Backus and Nick Hintz. Jared Kujawa scored Bedford's
fourth goal short handed with assists to Garryt Kujawa and Andy Backus. At 1:53
remaining in the second period Garryt Kujawa scored the Mules' final goal. Jesse
Bachli and Andy Backus received assists. Huron scored with just thirty-nine seconds
left in the period to pull within three goals. Bedford had sixteen shots on goal
and Huron had eleven shots. Bedford got caught for one penalty in the period and
Huron had three penalties.
Huron scored their third goal at 7:04 in the
third period but it was not enough to catch the Mules. Dan Horoszewski and Steven
Brown played strong in defense. Luke Fournier was awesome in net as usual. Bedford
had eleven shots on goal for the third period and Huron had twelve. Bedford had
two penalties in the period and Huron had three.

5 Whitmer 2 The Mules continued their winning ways by defeating
Whitmer at Tam-O-Shanter. With 12:14 on the clock Jesse Bachli scored Bedford's
first goal off assists from Garryt Kujawa and Steven Brown. Captain Andy Backus
scored at 8:04. Nick Hintz and Jesse Bachli earned the assists. Jesse Bachli scored
the game winner at 6:37 and Dan Clifford got the assist. Andy Backus scored his
second goal of the night to put the Mules up by four at 3:21 to go in the first.
Justin Snyder and Jesse Bachli assisted on the goal. Whitmer scored their first
goal with just eighteen seconds left on the clock. Whitmer had seven shots on
goal and Bedford had sixteen in the first period. Whitmer was called for two penalties
while Bedford had none.
No goals were scored in the second period. Each
team had ten shots on goal. Whitmer had just one penalty and Bedford had three
penalties.
Whitmer scored their second and final goal at 11:26 in the
third period. Garryt Kujawa put one in the net with 1:07 left in the game. Jesse
Bachli and Andy Backus got the assists. Both teams had eighteen shots on goal

FALCON HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT Bedford 4 - SMCC
3 (Semi Final) It isn't nice to be invited to someone's house and beat them
but that is what the Mules did against the St. Mary's Falcons. Of course, everyone
knows that when it comes to winning a hockey game nice doesn't matter. The Falcons
drew first blood scoring at 12:35 in the first period. Brendon Sokoloski tied
it up for the Mules at 9:49 on the clock with an assist from Justin Snyder. Just
a little under two minutes later SMCC again regained the lead. But at 6:40 Justin
Snyder lit the lamp to put the game at 2-2. Jesse Bachli and Garryt Kujawa got
the assists. With just over a minute left in the first period Jesse Bachli scored
a power play goal off assists from Andy Backus and Garryt Kujawa. Shots on goal
for the period were seven for SMCC and ten for Bedford. The Falcons were called
for two penalties while the Mules had one penalty.
At 10:26 in the second
period Alternate Captain Jesse Bachli scored what would be the game winning goal
off an assist from linemate Garryt Kujawa. Lukas Fournier faced eleven shots in
the second period while Bedford had ten shots on goal. St. Mary's had just one
penalty in the period and Bedford had two penalties.
The Falcons scored
early in the third period to bring the score to 4-3 but the Mules were able to
hold off any further scoring. SMCC had ten shots on goal and the Mules had only
two shots. The mules got caught for two penalties in the last half of the period.
Congratulations to the team for a well played, hard fought game against a
team that had a lot of talent and was supposed to win.

FALCON HOLIDAY TOURNAMENT Bedford 5 - Allen
Park 4 (Championship) R-E-S-P-E-C-T....That is what the Mules earned this weekend,
respect from other teams and, perhaps more important, respect for themselves as
a team. They came from a three goal deficit to beat Allen Park and earn the title
Champions.
Allen Park scored their first goal less than two minutes into
the game. But Alternate Captain Jesse Bachli scored a beautiful goal unassisted
at 4:55 remaining to tie it up. Both teams received one penalty for the period.
Allen Park scored twice in the second period to put them up 3-1. Bedford had
four penalties and AP had just one penalty for the period.
But the Mules
didn't give up. They went to the locker room between the second and third period
and regrouped. The team leaders stood up and proved what kind of players they
are. Team Captain Andy Backus scored at 12:51 on the clock on a power play goal
off assists from Dan Horoszewski and Alternate Captain Justin Snyder. Garryt Kujawa
scored his first of a natural hat trick at 12:05 with an assist to his brother,
Jared. Twenty five seconds later, Garryt scored again to put Bedford in the lead
for the first time in the game. Andy Backus earned the assist. At 5:26, Garryt
Kujawa scored his third goal, the game winner, with help from Jesse Bachli. Allen
Park did score with just twenty-two seconds remaining in the game but it was too
little too late to get them the victory. Allen Park had three penalties and Bedford
had two penalties for the period.
Great teamwork, guys!!! Keep the winning
streak going. It makes all of connected with the Bedford program so proud to have
watched the efforts put forth by the team beating two very good teams. Respect,
you deserve it.

6 Jackson 1 Bedford continued their winning ways by defeating the
Jackson Vikings at the Toledo Ice House. Jesse Bachli scored at 5:16 off the clock
in the first period. Line mate Garryt Kujawa assisted. Two minutes later Jackson
tied the game but it would not last long. At 8:47 Jesse Bachli scored his second
goal of the night. This would prove enough to win the game. Brother Drew Bachli
and Garryt Kujawa got the assists. Bedford had ten shots on goal for the period
and Luke Fournier faced seven shots. Bedford was called for one penalty.

Jackson had eleven shots on goal and Bedford had ten shots. Each team received

At 6:43 into the third period Garryt Kujawa found the back
of the net to put the Mules up by three goals. The Bachli brothers, Jesse and
Drew, got the assists. Jared Kujawa scored a short handed goal at 8:36 of the
third. And, with less than a minute left on the clock Nick Hintz scored the Mules'
sixth goal off an assist from Jesse Bachli. Bedford had nine shots on goal and
Jackson had ten shots on goal. Again, each team received two penalties.

Mules continued their winning ways beating NHC rival Maumee. The first period
was scoreless. Maumee had ten shots on goal and Bedford had seven. Bedford had
one penalty and Maumee had none.
Jared Kujawa opened the scoring at 11:27
in the second period. This prove to be all that was needed for the win. Andy Backus
and Justin Snyder got the assists. With just 1:38 remaining in the period Jesse
Bachli scored short handed for the Mules' second goal off an assist from Andy
Backus. Bedford got off thirteen shots on goal while Maumee had just three shots.
Maumee was called for five penalties in the second period. The Mules had two penalties.
Just 38 seconds into the third period Garryt Kujawa scored to put the Mules
up by three. Jesse Bachli and Andy Backus each got an assist. At 9:15 on the clock
Jesse Bachli got his second goal of the night assisted by Garryt Kujawa. The Mules
had ten shots on goal and Maumee again could only fire four shots at Luke Fournier.
Bedford had two penalties, Maumee had just one on the period.

Mules jumped out to a two goal lead but it was not enough to hold off the Bulldogs.
Senior Dan Clifford scored at 6:38 into the game off an assist from Jared Kujawa.
Jared Kujawa scored a power play goal with assists to Garryt Kujawa and Andy Backus.
But Chelsea tired it up late in the first period scoring twice a little over one
minute apart. Chelsea had thirteen shots on goal and Bedford had just six shots.
Chelsea was called for the lone penalty in the period.
Chelsea added two
more goals in the second period to make the score 4-2. The Bulldogs had seventeen
shots on goal for the period and again the Mules had six shots. Bedford had the
only penalty in the period.
Just one minute into the third period Nick
Hintz pulled the Mules within one of the Bulldogs. Garryt Kujawa got the assist.
Jesse Bachli scored a shorthanded goal unassisted to tie the game at four each.
But that didn't last long, Chelsea scored ten seconds later to again regain the
lead. At 8:14 into the third period the Bulldogs added the insurance goal. The
Mules had seven shots on goal for the period for a total of nineteen shots in
the game. The Bulldogs had twelve shots for the period for a total of forty two
shots. Bedford got caught for two penalties in the third period.
This
was just the second loss for the Mules this season, both in the SEC.

2 Perrysburg 4 The Mules' Jesse Bachli scored with 11:37 gone on
the clock in the first period but it was not enough to stop the team from suffering
their second loss in a row. Garryt Kujawa and Nick Hintz got assists on Bachli's
goal. Perrysburg had nine shots on goal and Bedford had five shots on goal for
the period. Bedford received the only penalty in the period.
Perrysburg
scored the tying goal with just 23 second off the clock in the second period.
They scored the go ahead goal just one and a half minutes later. Before the second
period would end the Yellow Jackets would score two more times going up on the
Mules 4-1. Both teams had eleven shots on goal. The Jackets were called for one
penalty and Bedford had none.
At 11:44 gone in the third period Garryt
Kujawa scored off the assist from Jesse Bachli but it was not enough to stop Perrysburg
from getting a White Division win on our Mules. Bedford had six shots on goal
for the period for a total of 22 shots for the game. Perrysburg had ten shots
on goal for a total of 30 shots. Bedford had two penalties in the third period,
Perrysburg had one.

2 The Mules got back on the winning track in a big way by routing Taylor Unified
10-2. Garryt Kujawa opened the scoring on a power play goal just 2:25 into the
first period. Jesse Bachli and Andy Backus assisted. At 6:39 Dan Clifford scored
off assists by Andy Backus and Brendon Sokoloski. Justin Snyder scored his first
of two goals at 10:34. Drew Bachli and Jared Kujawa got assists. Bedford had just
one penalty in the period while Taylor had three. Bedford had eleven shots on
goal and Taylor had six shots.
With just nineteen seconds off the clock
in the second period Jared Kujawa lit the lamp with brother Garryt and Jesse Bachli
helping. A little over one minute later, Garryt Kujawa put the Mules up by three
goals. Jesse Bachli and Jared Kujawa assisted on the goal. At 5:56 Jesse Bachli
found the back of the net off and assist from Garryt Kujawa. Fifty eight seconds
later Justin Snyder had his second goal assisted by Drew Bachli and Andy Backus.
At 9:02 Nick Hintz scored Bedford's eighth goal of the night. Again Drew Bachli
and Backus got assists. The Mules had eight shots on goal while Taylor had ten
shots. Bedford had two penalties in the second period; Taylor had no penalties.

and Christian Williams. Jacob Kelch scored the Mules' final goal of the evening

1 The Mules beat a hapless Central Catholic team by an extremely lopsided score
of 11-1. Scoring for Bedford were Andy Backus with four goals, Jesse Bachli with
three goals, Nick Hintz with two goals, and Dan Clifford and Garryt Kujawa each
with one goal. Jared Kujawa earned five assists; Jesse Bachli, Drew Bachli, Garryt
Kujawa, and Dan Clifford each had three assists. Steven Brown, Brendon Sokoloski,
Dan Horozsewski, and Jacob Kelch each got one assist. Luke Fournier faced sixteen
shots and the Mules had 35 shots on goal for the game.
This was the first
of three games in a row in one weekend. All games are against NHC opponents.

4 Maumee 1 The Mules played the second game of a three game weekend
against NHC rival Maumee. The first period was scoreless with Bedford getting
called for two penalties. Maumee had no penalties. Luke Fournier faced only four
shots in the period and the Bedford shooters got off ten shots.
The Panthers
got on the board first when the Mules were called for a penalty resulting in a
penalty shot. Their lead would be short lived; however, when Nick Hintz scored
at 5:01 to tie the game. Justing Snyder and Drew Bachli got assists on Nick's
goal. With just twenty five second left in the second period Garryt Kujawa put
the Mules ahead. Jared Kujawa and Andy Backus assisted on what would be the game
winning goal. Bedford had three penalties and Maumee had one penalty in the period.
The Panthers had seven shots on goal and the Mules had eight shots.
At
8:29 in the third period Garryt Kujawa scored his second goal of the night asssisted
by Jared Kujawa and Jesse Bachli. At 11:03 Jesse Bachli scored Bedford's last
goal assisted by Garryt Kujawa and Andy Backus. Bedford had three penalties, Maumee
had three penalties. The Panthers had six shots on goal and the Mules fired fourteen
shots at the Maumee goalie.

2 Dexter 4 The
Mules' winning streak came to an end Wednesday night when they traveled north
to face the Dexter Dreadnaughts. Dexter scored the only goal in the first period
to take a 1-0 lead. Bedford outshot Dexter firing off eleven shots to Dexter's
eight. Dexter had two penalties, Bedford had one.
Dexter scored their
second goal at 13:12 remaining in the second period while on a power play. Alternate
Captain Jesse Bachli scored his first goal of the night at 8:59 in the second
with assists to Garryt Kujawa and Andy Backus. Just thirteen seconds later Jesse
scored to tie the game. Garryt Kujawa and Christian Williams earned assists on
the goal. But at 5:16 in the second Dexter regained the lead going into the locker
room with a 3-2 lead. The Dreadnaughts had nine shots on goal and the Mules had
eight shots for the period. Bedford had the lone penalty in the period.
Dexter
scored the fourth and final goal at 10:54 in the third period. Both teams had
seven shots in the period. Each team had one penalty called for the period as
well.

Recognition Day Bedford 5 Central Catholic
0 Before the start of the game the following seniors were recognized: Andy
Backus, Steven Brown, Dan Clifford, Luke Fournier, Krysten Hartley, Justin Snyder,
and Tim Taylor.
Even with some players nursing injuries and other players
feeling sick the Mules were able to pull out another NHC win on their march to
three White Division titles in a row. Jared Kujawa opened the scoring for Bedford
with help from Drew Bachli and Jesse Bachli. That would be the only goal scored
in the first period. Luke Fournier faced eight shots in the period and the Mules
had nine shots on goal. No penalties were called on either team.
At 12:53
Senior Justin Snyder scored his first of two goals. Andy Backus and Jared Kujawa
got assists on the goal. At 5:03 in the second period Justin Snyder scored his
second goal off assists from Nick Hintz and Dan Horoszewski. Tow penalties were
called on Bedford in the second period, Central had none.
Alternate Captain
Jesse Bachli scored Bedford's fourth goal at 10:02 in the third period. Garryt
Kujawa and Dan Clifford got assists on Jesse's goal. Jared Kujawa scored the fifth
and final goal while the Mules were on a power play. Helping on the goal were
Justin Snyder and Drew Bachli. Bedford played a clean third period while the Irish
had two penalties.

DIVISION CHAMPIONS Bedford
faced off against the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets for the White Division Championship
in the NHC. If the Mules lost they would share the title. Bedford decided to be
selfish and claim the title for themselves. This is the third year in a row that
the Mules have won the White Division for Coach Randy Menchaca. The first period
was scoreless in a hard fought, well played game. No penalties were called on
either team. Bedford had six shots on goal and Senior Luke Fournier faced thirteen
shots in the period.
Perrysburg got on the board first scoring at 4:20
in the second period. Bedford had ten shots on goal and the Yellow Jackets had
five shots on goal. Each team had just one penalty in the period.
The
Mules did not give up and at 7:17 in the third period Jordan Joersz scored the
tying goal assisted by Jesse Bachli and Andy Backus. At 5:19 remaining in the
game, Jared Kujawa scored the game winning goal helped out again by Backus and
Bachli. The Mules had ten shots on goal in the period and Perrysburg had six shots.
No penalties were called on either team.

2 Saline 1 After wrapping up the NHC White Division Championship
the Mules set their sights on some SEC opponents. First up, the Saline Hornets
- earlier in the season the Mules lost to the Hornets in overtime. The team did
not want to repeat that outcome. Playing some smart, clean hockey insured the
win for the Mules.
The first period was scoreless. Saline had ten shots
on Luke Fournier and Bedford had six shots. The Hornets received two penalties
while the Mules played penalty free hockey.
Just a little over one minute
into the second period Jared Kujawa scored Bedford's first goal. Jared's brother
Garryt and Captain Andy Backus helped out on the goal. With eleven minutes gone
in the second period Jared Kujawa scored his second goal, the game winner. Assisting
on the goal were Alternate Captain Jesse Bachli and Garryt Kujawa. No penalties
were called on either team. Saline had twelve shots on goal and Bedford had eleven
shots.
With thirteen minutes gone on the clock in the third Saline scored
their only goal while on a power play but it was not enough to get past the Mules.
Each team had two penalties. Fournier faced seven shots and Bedford had just five
shots on goal in the third.
The next game for the Mules is on Wednesday,
February 13, at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube against the Ann Arbor Pioneers. Game time
is at 7:45 p.m.

6 Lincoln 5 The
Mules earned another SEC victory by defeating the Lincoln Railsplitters in a come-from-behind
win. The Bachli and Kujawa brothers ruled the ice for this game either scoring
the goals or earning the assists on all six goals. Alternate captain Jesse Bachli
scored the first goal of the evening unassisted at 12:08 of the first period.
Lincoln scored the next three goals putting the Mules in an early hole. With just
2:26 left in the first period Jared Kujawa scored off an assist from Jesse Bachli
to pull the Mules within one goal. Beford had nine shots on goal and Lincoln had
ten shots. Lincoln had just one penalty for the first period while the Mules were
called for four penalties.
The Railsplitters scored the only goal of the
second period to again go up by three. Bedford had fifteen shots on goal while
Luke Fournier faced eight shots. Lincoln had three penalties and Bedford had two
penalties.
Jared Kujawa opened the scoring for the Mules at 11:50 in
the third period. Brother Garryt Kujawa assisted on the goal. Again Lincoln would
score to pull ahead by two goals. But it would be the last time the Railsplitters
would get one past Fournier. The Mules came alive at 7:13 in the third when Garryt
Kujawa found the back of the net off assists from Jared Kujawa and Jesse Bachli.
Drew Bachli scored the tying goal at 3:38 in the third unassisted. Jesse Bachli
scored the game winning goal with just 48 seconds left in the game with an assist
from Jared Kujawa. Bedford had sixteen shots on goal and Lincoln had nine shots
on goal. The Mules had four penalties and the Railsplitters had three penalties
in the third period.

Mules season came to a close in a heartbreaking loss tot he Saline Hornets. Both
teams were evenly matched splitting the regular season games with a win each.
The first period ended scoreless. Senior Luke Fournier faced thirteen shots and
Bedford fired off nine shots. Saline had the only penalty of the period.
The
Hornets scored first at 13:35 into the second period. At 5:55 remaining in the
second period Drew Bachli tied the game with help from brother Jesse Bachli and
Andy Backus. With just six seconds left in the period Drew Bachli again scored
to put the Mules up by one. Jared Kujawa and Jesse Bachli earned assists on Drew's
second goal. Saline had fourteen shots on goal and Bedford had ten shots. Saline
had four penalties in the period and Bedford got called for two.
At 10:03
in the third Saline scored the tying goal. The Hornets scored an empty net goal
at 3:24 to go up by one goal. With 1:25 seconds left in the game Saline added
an insurance goal to put the game away. The Hornets had ten shots on goal and
Bedford could manage just four shots on goal for the period. Bedford had the only
penalty in the third period.

Bedford's Jordan Joersz scored on a power
play at 9:05 of the first period off an assist from Michael Szenderski to put
the Mules on top. But Monroe scored three minutes to tie the game. The Trojans
scored two more times before the period would end. Bedford had three penalties
and Monroe had just one.
The second period started with Monroe adding
two more goals to the score to take a 5-1 lead. Michael Szenderski scored at 5:18
of the second period. Jacob Kelch earned the assist. AT 3:50 on the clock Jacob
Kelch got a goal of his own with assists to Michael Szenderski and Jordan Joersz.
Just one minute later Michael Szenderski got his second goal. Assists on the goal
went to Jacob Kelch and Tim Taylor. This put the Mules just one goal away from
tying the Trojans. Again, Bedford had more penalties than Monroe by a difference
of three to one.
Monroe scored twice in the third period to put the game

at the Ice House. Five goals were scored in the first period. Southview was called
for one penalty and Bedford had none.
The Mules continued their dominance
in the second period, scoring four more goals to up their lead to 9-0. Each team
was called for one penalty in the period.
The Mules scored their tenth
and final goal at 6:53 of the third period. The game was ended at that point under
mercy rule provisions. Southview received two penalties and Bedford again received
none.

Mules beat Northview handily with just nine skaters and a goalie at Tam-O-Shanter.
Nathan Piechorowski opened the scoring for Bedford at 11:58 in the first period.
Jordan Joersz and Mike Szenderski assisted on the goal. At 8:12 on the clock Mike
Szenderski got what would be the game winning goal with Jordan Joersz getting
his second of three assists on the night. Northview had one penalty and Bedford
had two in the first period.
Tim Taylor scored on a power play with 1:34
remaining in the second period with the combo of Joersz/Szenderski on the assist.
Just 23 seconds later Justin Newton lit the lamp. Mike Szenderski again got the
assist. Northview got caught for three penalties while Bedford had none.
A
power play goal was scored by Mike Szenderski at 10:02 in the third period off
an assist from Justin Newton. Northview scored their lone goal short handed at
5:21. Justin Newton got his second goal of the night at 4:00 remaining in the
third. Jordan Joersz and Tim Taylor earned the assist. With just 1:22 on the clock
Tim Taylor got his second goal; Nathan Piechorowski and Justin Newton had the
assists. The last two goals were scored on power plays. The third period was penalty
ridden with Northview receiving nine penalties and Bedford serving three.
In spite of having such a short bench the team played a great game. Mark Blankenship

They had a big second period, scoring five goals to take a 7-0 lead. Goals scored
by Nathan Piechorowski (2 Goals), Justin Newton, Tim Taylor, and Jacob Kelch.
Bedford scored two times in the third period, both by Jacob Kelch, to put
the team well out of reach. Jordan Joersz had an awesome five assists for the
game, Justin Newton had four assists, Evan Mahl had two, , Jacob Kelch also had
two assists.
Bedford had a total of 34 shots on goal. Mark Blankenship,
Bedford's goalie, faced just seven shots for the entire game. Anthony Wayne had

7 Anthony Wayne 1 It took Michael Szenderski less than two minutes
into the game to score his first of three goals. The first goal was unassisted.
At 8:02 in the first Szenderski scored his second goal, which would be the game
winner, off assists from Jacob Kelch and Nathan Piechorowski. Anthony Wayne scored
their only goal of the game at 3:45 left in the first period. Jacob Kelch scored
off assists from Szenderski and Piechorowski to put the game away at 2:24 of the
first. Then with just 29 seconds left, Piechorowski had his turn with a goal on
a power play. Jacob Hoogendoorn got the assist. There was only one penalty in
the first period and that was called on Anthony Wayne.
There were no goals
scored by either team in the second period. Anthony Wayne had two penalties and
the Mules got called on three penalties.
Piechorowski scored his second
goal of the game at 10:41 in the third with assist to Tim Taylor. Mark Prenkert
made the score 6-1 with help from Piechorowski and Taylor while the Mules were
on a power play. Mike Szenderski got his third goal of the game at 6:39 unassisted
to give Bedford their second straight win over Anthony Wayne. The third period
was riddled with penalties - Anthony Wayne had six penalties and the Mules had

the third time this season. Jordan Joersz scored two goals and got three assists.

Evan Mahl. Mark Blankenship played strong in net for the Mules.

#2 BEDFORD 4 NORTHVIEW 5 Bedford took
to the ice against Northview with only seven skaters and one goalie. Nathan Piechorowski
scored Bedford's first goal at 2:11 of the first period off an assist from Jacob
Kelch. Jordan Joersz scored unassisted at 1:35 of the first period to put Bedford
up 2-0. Northview had one penalty in the first period and Bedford had none.
Northview scored three times in the second period while the Mules could not
find the back of the net. Northview again had one penalty while the Mules had
none.
Justin Newton scored the tying goal for Bedford off an assist from
Jordan Joersz. Jacob Kelch scored Bedford's fourth goal at 7:13 of the third period.

were the same. Bedford easily beat them. Mike Szenderski had a hat trick, scoring

Joersz each scored for the Mules. Mark Prenkert had three assists on the evening.

Mules suffered their first loss of the New Year falling to Bowling Green at the
Ice House. Bowling Green drew first blood at 11:56 in the first period. Jacob
Kelch scored Bedford's only goal at 2:45 in the first period to tie the game.
Matt LeForce earned the assist. Just fifteen seconds later Bowling Green scored
the game winning goal. Bedford had seven shots on goal and Bowling Green had twelve.

Mules suffered their second loss in a row losing to Findlay Friday night at the
Hancock Rec Center. The first period ended scoreless. Bedford had six shots on

Justin Newton scored at 9:39 in the second off assists from Nathan
Piechorowski and Jacob Kelch to put the Mules up by one. But Findlay would score
twice in the period to take over the lead. Bedford had eight shots on goal and

appeared to be a run away for them. But even though it was a loss for the Mules,
they didn't give up and came back to within two goals. Mike Szenderski scored

Eastwood scored their sixth
goal shorthanded at 6:59 in the second period. The score at that point was 6-1.

4 Findlay 5 In a tight game the Mules fell short of a win by one
goal against Findlay. Jordan Joersz scored for Bedford at 10:52 in the first.
Less than fifty seconds later Nathan Piechorowski took the Mules up by two off
assists to Evan Mahl and Matt LeForce. Findlay scored a power play goal halfway
through the first to come within one goal. Bedford had two penalties in the first
period and Findlay had three.
In a penalty filled second period Findlay
scored the tying goal while on a power play with just thirty four second left.
Findlay had four penalties and the Mules had five penalties.
Justin Newton
scored on a power play from Mike Szenderski and Tim Taylor to put the Mules in
the lead again. The next two goals belonged to Findlay but Mark Prenkert tied

At 7:05 in the second period Nathan Piechorowski
pulled the Mules to within one goal. Justin Newton and Evan Mahl assisted on the

The Mules' 2007-08 season ended with a loss to Bowling Green
in the first round of the District Playoffs. Bowling Green scored first shorthanded
just a little over one minute into the game. Mike Szenderski scored to tie the
game a minute later while on a power play. Jacob Hoogendoorn and Christian Williams
earned the assists. BG scored three unanswered goals to go up by a score of 4-1.
